2015 qmas boq peoples choice awards nominees announced

PRESS RELEASE:

In the wake of last week’s exciting finalists announcement, the 2015 Queensland Music Awards, presented by BOQ and Hutchinson Builders, today reveals the nominees for the BOQ People’s Choice Awards.  Placing power in the hands of public opinion, ballots are now open for the casting of votes that will decide Queensland’s most popular artists.
 
The BOQ People’s Choice delivers artist nominees that have been selected by a panel of music industry professionals across three categories - Most Popular Female, Most Popular Male and Most Popular Group.  Just who will receive the BOQ Award for each category is subject to public voting, with winners announced at the Queensland Music Awards on March 30 at the Brisbane Powerhouse.
Music fans from all around Australia are encouraged to cast votes for their favourite Queensland artists.  Just by voting, music fans have the chance to WIN a double pass to two jammed packed nights of music at BIGSOUND LIVE 2015 and a double pass to this year’s Queensland Music Awards.
 
Held over a three-week period, the BOQ People’s Choice category winners of Week One and Week Two voting progress to Week Three where they face off in a head to head final heat to decide who will be crowned Most Popular.
 
The first decider round of BOQ People’s Choice is NOW OPEN.  Round 1 votes can be cast online via the Queensland Music Awards website.

Week 3 Voting - FINALS (9am Monday 9 March – Midnight Sunday 15 March).

Finalists from Week One and Week Two across each category progress into the Week Three Finals.  Public votes will decide who will be crowned Most Popular at the 2015 Queensland Music Awards. 

QMusic also today announce the QMA Album of the Year nominees.  Queensland Artists to release albums since the previous 2013 QMAs were in the running and considered for nomination.

Winners across 21 songwriting categories will be revealed at the 2015 Queensland Music Awards, hosted this year by triple j’s Sarah Howells and Hip Hop veteran Fred Leone aka Rival MC from Impossible Odds Records.
