Sydney pop group 5 Seconds Of Summer are set to become our biggest exports since Gotye, selling out a ten-date US tour of two-thousand seaters in under five minutes.

This comes off the back of their recent single She Looks So Perfect, which debuted in last week’s ARIA Singles chart at #3 and is currently sitting at #8 on the TMN Hot 100. The video clip has had 3.7 million views since being uploaded to Vevo less than a fortnight ago, and pre-orders for the accompanying EP (out March 21) suggest the song will debut at the top of a number of charts worldwide.

The group also recently sold out a UK tour, which included two dates at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire that also sold out in under five minutes. This hysteria can be traced back to a supportive November 2012 tweet by Louis Tomlinson, a member of from pop juggernauts One Direction, who posted an acoustic video of their song Gotta Get Out, claiming to have been a fan for a while. The Australian group then toured with One Direction last year, on their worldwide Take Me Home tour.

Following their ten-date American tour, 5 Seconds Of Summer will then again join One Direction, on the US leg of their Where We Are tour, which will take in 21 stadiums across the country, including the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles.
