The A Day On The Green winery shows drew 229,523 patrons over 30 shows featuring 45 acts in its 2017-18 season.

This puts it in the league of Big Day Out and Soundwave in their heyday.

It featured international drawcards as Elton John, Robbie Williams, Stevie Nicks, Pretenders, James Blunt and Bryan Adams.

The Australian contingent included John Farnham, The Living End, Hoodoo Gurus, Mondo Rock, Spiderbait, Daryl Braithwaite, Russell Morris, Marcia Hines, Kate Ceberano, Models, Jebediah, Pete Murray, Baby Animals, Busby Marou, Sheppard and Alex Lloyd along with new talent like Ali Barter, Chris Watts and Bonnie Anderson.

Robbie Williams snared the biggest show in A Day On The Green’s history at Mt Duneed Estate, Geelong, with 19,000 tickets selling in just 25 minutes.

A second Victorian show, another sell-out, was later added at Rochford Wines in the Yarra Valley.

Another runaway success was a collaboration with the RNB Fridays team for the inaugural RNB Vine Days series featuring Boyz II Men and TLC.

Promoter Roundhouse Entertainment co-director Michael Newton said: “It’s been another wonderful season for us but 17 years in, our business is not without its challenges.

“Presenting concerts in outdoor areas requires a high degree of expertise and commitment, and I’m proud to say that we have an outstanding, premium brand with high calibre production teams and exceptional artists.”
