Amrap Chart Wrap - Megan Washington and Pearls top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provides insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees an eclectic mix of indie-pop, folk and snotty-punk.

Megan Washington took #1 on the Amrap Regional Chart with her infectious indie-pop tune Get Happy. A live video from the BIGSOUND Australian music conference is also gaining traction on station websites using Amrap Pages including here on Northwest FM in Hadfield VIC  and TYGA FM TAS.

Pearls’ Pretend You’re Mine held #1 on the Amrap Metro Chart for the second consecutive week. They’ve followed up from recent feature album spots on Triple R and SYN FM Melbourne by grabbing an addition to rotation on FBi Sydney.

Ben Wright Smith debuted at #2 on the Amrap Metro Chart and #6 on the Regional Chart with No One. The catchy alt-folk track was also added to FBi Radio last week and is in SYN FM’s Sweet 16.

Bonjah debuted at #3 on the Amrap Regional Chart with the upbeat soulful rocker Burn. The hard-touring band are favourites across regional community radio at the moment including 979 FM Melton VIC,  Fraser Coast Community Radio QLD , Nambucca Valley Radio across Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie NSW,  Dusty Radio Coober Pedy SA and Byron Bay FM NSW.

Ainslie Wills debuted at #3 on the Amrap Metro Chart with Drive. The track is getting airplay across metro stations including 4ZZZ Brisbane, FBi Radio’s adds list, and hometown Triple R where she recently performed live here on Vital Bits.

The Living Eyes’ Put it Back debuted at #4 on the Amrap Metro Chart. Living Large is Album of the Week on FBi Radio, and the snotty-punk rocker is getting spins on 4ZZZ, RTR FM and Triple R. They’re yet to release a film clip for Put it Back but it’s worth checking out the live video for Up and At Them that’s filmed live via a go-pro camera strapped to the drummers chest. The clip is gaining traction across station sites using Amrap Pages including here on Triple R and 4ZZZ’s Girls Can Tell.
