The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide a snapshot of what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week we see a number of artists holding onto their spots with some chart debuts in between.

Pearls (pictured) took #1 on the Amrap Metro Chart with their foot stompin’ alt-pop track Pretend You’re Mine. It’s up seven spots from last week and also crossed over to the Amrap Regional Chart at #7.  They’re featured on RTR Perth’s Sound Selection, SYN Melbourne’s Sweet Sixteen and are Triple R Melbourne’s Album of the Week. The track is also getting airplay across other metro stations including here on 4ZZZ Brisbane, Edge Radio Hobart, and FBi Radio Sydney.

Sweet Jean tops the Amrap Regional Chart for the third consecutive week with I See Stars. Their recent video performance on Melbourne’s Tram Sessions is gaining traction (no pun intended) across station websites through Amrap Pages including here on TYGA FM in TAS, 2HHH and 2RRR in NSW, 3MDR Mountain District Radio and 979 FM Melton in VIC, and 4ZZZ. They were also interviewed last week on Triple R’s Superfluity.

Better Days by The Meltdown continues to chart coming in at #2 on the Amrap Regional Chart for the second consecutive week. The soul-drenched track has crossed over from the Amrap Metro Chart where it held #10 then #6 in early February. The intimate in-studio music video is gaining promotion on station websites through Amrap Pages including here on RTRFM Perth, 2RRR NSW 3MDR VIC and hometown station Triple R.

Let Me Be Your Light by The Black Ryder moved up three spots to #6 on the Amrap Metro Chart. The Sydney songwriting duo are now delivering beautifully woozy psyche-rock that’s landed in last week’s Top 10 feature albums on PBS Melbourne, and is getting airplay on community stations as diverse as 4ZZZ, Adelaide’s Coast FM 88.7 FM, YASS FM NSW, 3RPC FM VIC and Radio Northern Beaches NSW.

Big Smoke debuted at #7 on the Amrap Metro Chart with Try A Little Love. The folk-pop ballad is getting airplay on wide range of stations including Joy Fm, Triple R, FBi Radio, Triple U FM NSW, and 2RRR.

Gordi took #3 on the Amrap Regional Chart and #8 on the Metro Chart with Taken Blame. They scored an add on SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and FBi Radio, along with a great live performance on FBi’s The Bridge last Tuesday.

Winterbourne debut at #6 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Steady My Bones. The cute live clip is also gaining traction on Metro station websites using Amrap Pages including here on Triple R’s Smart Arts and RTR FM’s Rockin’ the Roots.
