Applications open for Girls Rock! Canberra
The camp runs between July 16-21 at Ainslie Arts Centre, and no music experience is necessary.

Applications are now open for Girls Rock! Canberra’s winter program, either as a camper or intern.
Running between July 16-21 at Ainslie Arts Centre in Braddon, the week-long program gives girls, trans and non-binary young people aged between 10 and 17 the opportunity to form a band, learn an instrument and write a song.
Best of all, no music experience is necessary to participate.
Over the course of the program, campers will also listen to live music performances, participate in workshops like screen printing, and perform their original song at the end of the week.
The $500 cost for the week includes instrument use, all workshops materials and daily morning and afternoon tea.
Financial aid is available on a needs basis.
Girls Rock! Canberra is also looking for past participants aged 16-18 years old to be part of their Intern program.
