PRESS RELEASE:

The deadline for Performance Reports has been extended to midnight AEST Sunday 7 August, 2016.

With Performance Reports (the new LPRs) due by 7 August, here are a few tips to help you navigate the new system.

1. REGISTER YOUR WORKS FIRST
Your songs need to be registered before you add them to a Setlist or Performance Report, so make sure you go through that process first.

2. SETLISTS
Before you start submitting Performance Reports, create some Setlists. This will make the whole process quicker and easier. As an example, you may have one set you play in solo mode and another you play with a band. Create two different Setlists for each of these performances.

When you complete a Performance Report, you can then add one of the Setlists you have already created.

You can also create Performance Reports with a combination of a Setlist and individual songs. Say for example you played your regular solo set one night and tried out a few new songs. Simply add the solo Setlist to the Report, then add the individual songs.

3. MULTIPLE GIGS AT THE SAME VENUE
If you’ve played at the same venue multiple times during the year, create a Performance Report for your first gig there, then click the ‘Recreate with same details’ button. This will allow you to create a new Report using the same venue details. Simply adjust the date and Setlist before submitting the new gig. Continue until all dates at this venue have been lodged - this will save you listing the same venue details numerous times.

4. BANDS: ONLY LODGE ONE PERFORMANCE REPORT PER GIG
If you play in a band or group, you only need to submit one Performance Report per gig. The writers of the songs you have performed will then receive royalties. To keep things simple, we recommend nominating one member of your band as the person who completes all your Performance Reports. That way you’ll never have double-ups or missed gigs (hopefully).

5. START NOW!
All your Performance Reports are due by 7 August, so start adding them now. This will also give you time to chat with a Writer Services rep if you need a hand.
