Police last night arrested a man and woman in relation to the death of Sydney hip hop artist Scepaz (Jett McKee).

His body was found on a street in inner city Forest Lodge last Friday afternoon.

He had been stabbed with a samurai sword and had a massive head wound.

According to ABC-TV, police believe that Scepaz, 30, may have been involved in a home invasion just before his death.

They are working on a theory that he entered a terrace house on Hereford Street at around lunchtime, possibly with a replica gun, and had an argument with a man and woman aged in their 20s.

The three are believed to have known each other.

After being on the run for three days, a 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, handed themselves into Newtown Police Station at 6pm yesterday and were immediately arrested.

The woman has been charged with murder.

She was refused bail and will appear in Newtown Local Court later today.

The man has been taken to hospital for treatment for a pre-existing facial injury and is under police guard.

He is expected to be charged upon his release from hospital.

Scepaz was head of Sub Conscious Records which he co-founded 11 years ago, and through which he released his works as The Last Temptation (2017) with Bhoky101 and Love (2014).
