Aussie collective Haiku Hands land US, European, agency deals

As the Wonderland Scarehouse Project tour winds up in Sydney this weekend, Australian disco EDM and pop collective Haiku Hands announced that they have landed deals with booking agencies in the United States and Europe.

They emerged from a visual arts and live performance background, and individually worked as vocalists for Urthboy, Mark Pritchard, Lapalux and
Hermitude and received critical acclaim for debut single ‘Not About You’.

That has led them to festival appearances on Red Bull Sound Select, Falls Festival, NYE on the Hill, NYE in the Park, Pitch and Panama, while they also toured recently with Ecca Vandal.

They’ve now signed with Paradigm Talent Agency for North America, joining Lorde, Diplo, Flume and The xx. They will be represented by Tom Windish and Jackie Nalpant.

Windish reveals, “It took me two listens to be smitten by Haiku Hands.

“Then I started getting feedback from friends in the business I trust and I knew I had to talk with them about working together.”

In Europe, Haiku Hands are now with Natasha Bent and Lucy Putman at the CODA Agency, with a live roster including CHVRCHES, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and The Knife.

Said Bent, “We are so incredibly excited and humbled to be working with these talented ladies.

“They are strong minded, unique and refreshing. We can’t wait to help continue their global build alongside Paradigm.”

Haiku Hands have just dropped a video for ‘Not About You’.

Directed by Ernesto Sumarkho and Mathieu Carlot, US choreographer Brian Friedman (Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Rhianna, Usher, Prince) featured it in his series of choreography videos which amassed over 375,000 views.

The pair is working with a number of producers, including El Gusto (Hermitude), Joelistics, Jaytee Hazard and Lewis CanCut,

Upcoming shows for the outfit are Red Bull Sound Select, Sydney (December 15), Falls Lorne (28), NYE on the Hill, Melbourne (30), NYE In The Park, Sydney (31) and the Sydney Opera House Block Party (March 4).
