One of Australia's most successful musical exports, The Ten Tenors, have charted another strong album debut for their latest record on the US Billboard Classical Charts.
Their first release through Sony Masterworks is called Wish You Were Here, and it broke through with a #3 debut on the chart this week, as well as making it to #29 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
The Ten Tenors celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2017.
"This is a significant achievement for the group and we are so proud to be flying the flag for the breadth and diversity of Australian music on the global stage,” said Ten Tenors producer D-J Wendt.
“I’d like to thank Dennis Handlin, Robert Rigby and the team at Sony Music who have proven that together we can break Australian music around the world."
Last year's Australian release of Wish You Were Here hit #1 on the classical crossover chart at home, as well as a top 20 ARIA Albums Chart position.
The records covers classic rock anthems from Queen to David Bowie, as well as the takes on the music of Michael Hutchence, Whitney Houston and Amy Winehouse.
