In a move to deepen its relationship with the global DJ community, dance music platform Beatport has launched a creative agency.
Beatport Creative Services. provides opportunities foir brands to connect with both the DJs that use Beatport and their audiences, with the aim it will “activate and accelerate dance music culture through a variety of programs.”
Initially based out of its Los Angeles and Berlin offices, it caters “to all Beatport artists and labels as a creative agency driving value outside Beatport’s core online retail store.”
Beatport CEO Robb McDaniels, who took over last October, stated,“Beatport’s sole mission is to help the DJ community make more connections in more places, increasing awareness for the creative talent we have the privilege of working with on a daily basis.
“Beatport Creative Services is a logical way for us to leverage our global footprint to help artists, brands and customers engage in an authentic and meaningful way.”
The agency will also strengthen Beatport's presence at electronic music events throughout 2018.
Its parent company LiveStyle, owns and produces festivals.

McDaniels said the company had more changes coming through 2018.
The first BCS programs and partners will be announced in the second quarter.
A “big improvements” to the Beatport Store follows in the third quarter.
Last October when he took over the CEO role, McDaniels said that Beatport will be "looking forward to reigniting both innovation and value creation for our partners and customers at Beatport in 2018 and beyond."
In January, it promoted two senior executives: Jonathan Steffan to chief information officer; and Terry Weerasinghe to chief product officer.
This month, Beatport also added melodic house & techno as a new genre category.
With dance music made up of so many styles, the move was an effort to help its customers seek out the music they wanted more efficiently.
Since September 2016, Beatport has been steadily adding new genre categorizations including: future house, trap/future bass, garage/bassline/grime, leftfield bass, leftfield house & techno and afro house.
