Former Triple M host Chris Beckhouse has launched his new project, a podcast titled The Rider with Becko, where he'll interview a string of artists, producers, promoters and more.

Beckhouse has been working to get the project off the ground for some time, telling TMN that he has been "calling in a lot of favours from mates" and that everyone has been very supportive.

"I’ve been lucky enough to interview some huge names in music like Keith Richards from the Stones, Angus Young from AC/DC and Dave Grohl," Beckhouse said.

"But this is my first chance to have the freedom to connect with them on my own podcast. No time limits, no restrictions… just great stories."

The first episode of The Rider is out now, with an in-depth interview with INXS' Andrew Farriss.

"[He's] the ultimate first guest," Beckhouse told The Music Network of his recording with Farriss.

"Through COVID, he has had his setbacks - trying to launch a new stage of his career: country music. He talks about the setbacks and [he's] got some great stories on INXS and how he and Michael Hutchence were perfect songwriting partners."
