It’s time to put the pineapple emoji in your festival diary.

The Sunshine Coast-based and triple j-presented Big Pineapple Music Festival will return in 2018, once again taking over the rolling hills of Woombye in Queensland on May 26, "for bucket loads of damn good times".

Last year’s festival was a sell-out, with punters travelling from all corners of the country to witness the musical fitness by some Australia’s music royalty.

The 2017 lineup included Birds of Tokyo, Peking Duk, SAFIA Northlane, Cloud Control, The Veronicas, City Calm Down and L D R U.

According to the official website, Big Pineapple Music Festival is almost ready to reveal the 2018 lineup.

Backdropped by the iconic Big Pineapple, the Pineapple fields will again transform into a party paradise, with three stages, food, "cool as shit" arts and craft, bars, chilled camping and those "famous fruity vibes" making for one big killer weekend.

Organisers say onsite camping will also be available on both Friday and Saturday night.
