Queensland’s Big Pineapple Music Festival has sold out in record time, it announced this morning.
Tickets first went on sale less than six weeks ago.
This comes in the wake of tomorrow’s Bad Friday block party in Marrickville, Sydney reaching capacity earlier this week, as reported in today’s Festivals and Venues.
Now in its sixth year, Big Pineapple is held on Saturday May 26.
The bill is headed by Violent Soho, Illy, Dune Rats, The Preatures, Allday. Hayden James, Cub Sport and COG.
Those who missed out on tickets are in luck, festival organisers say.
This year, BPMF is operating a re-sale facility via Moshtix.

“So keep your eye on the website for your chance to purchase a ticket.
“Need to ditch your tix? This is the only legitimate way to re-sell your tickets.”
Camping tickets are still up for grabs. For the first time ever, ticketholders can purchase an pre-pitched festival crib rather than opt for the Kmart tent.
Located in the Pineapple Fields, Tent City tents are carpeted, screened and fitted with a 12-volt light, plus a fold up bed and mattress.
You can BYO linen or purchase a linen pack. Tent City tents can accommodate up to four people.

Glamping options have already sold out.
This year BPMF are changing up the way patrons arrive and depart from the festival.
“We want to make sure everyone gets to BPMF and leaves in the quickest and safest way possible.
“Our new Park & Ride system will aim to alleviate pressure on the roads and create a safer and more efficient transport system for all.
“This means there will be no vehicle drop offs allowed at the event.
The festival website lists nine Sunshine Coast locations where free shuttle buses begin.
Other acts on the bill, in alphabetical order, are Butterfingers, Crooked Colours, E^ST, Kilter, Kim Churchill, Luke Million, Northeast Party House, Shockone, Tired Lion, Arno Faraji, Carmouflage Rose, Clews, Doolie, Greta Stanley, Hobo Magic, Imbi The Girl, Kira Puru, Maddy Jane, Moody Beach, Mookhi, Nyxen, Pow! Negro, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Rackett, Squidgenini, The Moving Stills and The Vanns.
