BIGSOUND is, well, big. For each of the four days, TMN will pick out a handful of the panels, workshops and parties – official and unofficial – you shouldn’t miss. 

Remote Control & Friends

The Brightside Beer Garden, 11:30am-5pm

With a ridiculous lineup (Jeremy Neale, Donny Benet, Jess Locke and more) and the earliest party kickoff of the day, this is a solid option for drop-ins and meet-ups.

Women In Music

Eleven Rooftop Bar, 12:30pm-3pm

A networking and welcome event for women (and gender-diverse folk) to catch up and make plans for world domination, with a few acoustic sets and presentations scattered in. RSVP to rsvp@qmusic.com.au if you haven’t already!

Social State Welcome Party

The Brightside Outdoor Stage, 2pm-5pm

Headlined by WAAX, Social State’s kicker-offer also features Bris-182, the Sunshine State’s only eight-guitarist Blink-182 tribute band. 

Smallsound

IMA Courtyard, 2pm-5pm

Already overwhelmed and hoarse? Chill out and shut up at this quiet-music showcase, with sets from Braille Face, Hayden Calnin and more, with interstitial music from Tim Shiel.

The New Wave

Woolly Mammoth, 2pm-7pm

A crazy-good unofficial hip hop showcase where you can catch Carmouflage Rose, Jesswar, Midas.Gold and more.
