blake aldridge aka flukey lands stereosonic slot with your shot win

Wollongong DJ Blake Aldridge, aka Flukey, will be performing at Stereosonic this November and one of the below international events:

Snowbombing (Austria)
The BPM Festival (Mexico)
THE GROOVE CRUISE (Miami)
Vh1 Supersonic (India)
Chasing Summer Music Festival (Canada) or
Your Paradise (Fiji)

Over six years, the Australian-based competition has attracted over 2,000 applications from DJs angling to play at Stereosonic and overseas club parties. Up to 61% now hold residencies and perform regular gigs, including Tigerlily, J-Trick, New World Sound, Brooklyn, 15 Grams, Gemellini and Angus O'Loughlin.

Aldridge said of his win: “Your Shot has been the most terrifying, yet awesome experience to date! From the start of training, to the final song played in my set, I haven't been able to control my nerves and excitement.  And it is true what they say, once your set is over you really wish you could do it all again!

"The best part of the ‘Your Shot’ final day was seeing my friends’ faces light up as I get up to play my set, hearing them sing all the words, and congratulate me on what I have achieved.  Now that ‘Your Shot 2015’ has finished, I am equally nervous and excited to see where this new chapter in my life is leading me and I can not wait to be part of it again next year!”

The six-year-old DJ competition launched in the United States, with DJ superstar Tiësto as its main judge and figurehead. The six-week US competition was screened as a 10-part web series on Vevo. 30 Americans received extensive training at the Your Shot Training Academy in Los Angeles.
