The National Live Music Awards (NLMAs) have announced the official categories for national and state/territory awards.
They include Live Voice of the Year, Live Drummer of the Year, Venue of the Year and The Heatseeker Award, which recognises the artists who have exploded onto the live scene in the last 12 months.’s
"It’srecgonising the artists who have had a stellar 12 months on the live stage,"Event Director Larry Heath told TMN. "12 months back we may have not known who they are and now they’re selling out venues around the country, with fantastic live shows to boot."
Under the vision of Heath, the awards recognise Australia’s thriving live music industry, celebrating the diversity and success of Australian live artists.
The nominees are to be unveiled at a special event in Sydney on October 10.
The NLMAs will be held at venues across Australia on November 29, with the National Awards handed out at a Gala event at Sydney’s The Basement as part of ARIA Week.
