CBAA throws open nominations for board positions

The CBAA are looking to fill five board positions for 2018.

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia's (CBAA) has opened nominations for its board.

For 2018, these are the positions to be filled:

Vice president (radio) for the term ending at the 2020 annual general meeting.

Three (3) ordinary board members for a term ending at the 2020 AGM.

A youth representative ending at the 2020 AGM.

Nominations are particularly encouraged from people:

  • From a regional or rural location
  • From an Indigenous background
  • From a non-English speaking background

There is also a call out for persons with the following skills:

  • Accountancy qualifications
  • Legal qualifications
  • Experience with dynamics of fundraising

Nominees are expected to have a commitment to the ideals of community broadcasting, a solid knowledge of and interest in the development of community broadcasting as a national sector and commit to representing the interests of the whole sector – not just their station or special interest group.

Nominations close at 5 pm (AEDT) on Friday, October 12.
