PRESS RELEASE:
Five-times ARIA award-winner Chet Faker has today been announced as the headline act, playing a rare and exclusive DJ set, for the forthcoming Ray-Ban x Boiler Room event taking place in Melbourne on November 10. Originally hailing from Melbourne, Chet Faker will also be curating a handpicked line-up, bringing together the some of the most ground-breaking artists the city has to offer alongside some very special international exports.
An artist who needs little introduction, Chet Faker has quite literally taken the world by storm since his critically acclaimed, debut full length album Built On Glass was released in April 2014. Countless accolades later, Chet is set to make his triumphant return for RBxBR 011 bringing some of his favourite artists from Melbourne and around the world together for one hell of a homecoming party. Gearing up to be the biggest Australian Boiler Room to date, the show will take place at a yet to be revealed warehouse venue in Melbourne. Watch this space!
The RBxBR series provides a snapshot of each city’s musical culture, curated by some of the world’s most visionary artists. RBxBR 011 in Melbourne will mirror the international broadcasts of intimate, RSVP only events, featuring DJ sets from international heavyweights and the true local underground, beamed live via the internet.
Demand for access to the show is set to be unprecedented once the lineup is announced, however Ray-Ban are already offering exclusive tickets to those who get on board and #CAMPAIGN4CHANGE – a campaign that celebrates individuality and brings to life inspirational individuals as pioneers, trailblazers and rule breakers in their everyday lives, ready to show the world how they want to make a change (INFO HERE).
Further artist announcements will be made this month.
