PRESS RELEASE:

After only 15 days on sale to the general public, all types of camping have completely sold out for CMC Rocks QLD 2016, organisers announced today. This is the first time in the nine year history of the event that the camping allocation has been totally exhausted.

A variety of camping options were made available to fans, ranging from small two-person unpowered sites through to CMC Glamping, which featured pre-installed luxury tents with stretcher beds.

“It’s fantastic to feel the huge level of excitement around CMC Rocks QLD for the 2016 event,” said festival promoter Rob Potts. “After 9 years we have hit several records already. Totally sold out of camping has never happened before and it happened in just 15 days from going on sale, which is quite amazing. On top of that our Members Loyalty ticket offer sold out in record time and we had the biggest on sale day ever. To say that out CMC Rocks fans have totally embraced this event is an understatement. We are all thrilled with the way things are going!”

After a visit to the festival site last week, organisers were able to add over a hundred extra campsites, only to see those snapped up in just over ten minutes. The few remaining CMC Glamping options were exhausted this morning. Camping has been a significant part of the CMC Rocks festival experience for many years, with many patrons decorating their campsites in artist slogans and imagery, and taking advantage of the late-night Campers Bar. The bar will return in 2016, with bands playing exclusively for campers after the conclusion of the main-stage program.

“We have been blown away by the demand for festival and camping tickets this year,” says festival promoter Matthew Lazarus Hall, CEO Chugg Entertainment. “The combination of great word of mouth from our first year on the Willowbank site, a killer lineup of international and local superstars and the loyalty of our CMC Rocks fans has seen all the campsites sell out in just over a fortnight. All signs are pointing to the festival as a whole heading for a sell out”.

Now in its ninth year of operation, CMC Rocks has established itself as the biggest country and roots music event in the southern hemisphere. The 2016 lineup includes Jason Aldean (USA), Florida Georgia Line (USA), Lee Brice (USA), Brantley Gilbert (USA), Kip Moore (USA), Morgan Evans and Kelsea Ballerini (USA).
