Ashley Sellers, Inertia's founder announced today that Colin Daniels has been promoted to CEO of the Inertia Group, overseeing Inertia’s music division and its interests in publisher Gaga Music, management company IE Inertia and concert promoter Handsome Tours.
Sellers said, “Colin has been integral to Inertia’s solid growth over the last 7 years, anticipating market trends and driving change to maintain Inertia’s position as Australia’s premier independent music group. This promotion is long overdue and I look forward to continuing to work closely with him in this exciting period for the industry”.
Sellers remains as Director and board member of The Inertia Group and will continue to work alongside Colin on strategic growth and development of businesses and future business opportunities.
Ashley and Colin also announced today two new appointments at Inertia Music.
Ben Suthers is promoted to Director of Operations, Administration and Finance. Ben joined Inertia in 2014 as Operations Manager after many years with Big Day Out and in a short time has streamlined, simplified and substantially improved Inertia’s backend functions.
Yvonne Cho joins April 5 as Senior Label Manager, in charge of Inertia’s distribution clients including Beggars Group, Remote Control, Cartell, Kobalt Label Services and others. Yvonne was formerly at Universal Music Australia.
