Silverchair’s Daniel Johns and Empire Of The Sun’s Luke Steele have been teasing the possibility of a collaborative music project for years now, and finally we’ve got the first taste of music from the new duo.

Newly created Facebook and Twitter accounts for an act called Dreams both uploaded a 48-second teaser for a track, seemingly called ’No One Defeats Us’ on Friday, and prior to which both Johns and Steele had mysteriously posted the hashtag #noonedefeatsus on their respective artist social channels.

Late last week’s Coachella lineup announcement also saw Dreams announced for their first ever live show, which sparked a spate of detective work on the festival’s message boards by punters trying to uncover the identity of the mystery outfit.

In the meantime a Dreams website has popped up, imploring punters to enter their email and ’join the movement.’

The revelation of the song snippet appears to put the speculation to bed, with both Johns and Steele’s musical styles and vocals evident throught the short track.
