Grammy Award winner Darius Rucker has been added to the performing lineup for the CMC Music Awards.
The show will mark Rucker’s solo Australian debut, as he joins a star-studded bill including Kelsea Ballerini and The Wolfe Brothers.
Rucker had previously been announced on the CMC Rocks QLD lineup, where he will perform alongside Luke Bryan, Busby Marou and more.
The US musician first came onto the scene as the guitarist of Grammy-winning outfit Hootie & The Blowfish.
Rucker won his third GRAMMY award in 2014 for Best Solo Performance for his 4x Platinum selling cover of Old Crow Medicine Show’s ’Wagon Wheel, off his album True Believers.
“I am so thrilled to headline my first solo Country tour in Australia.
"I’ve read all the fan comments and tweets, and I told my entire team we absolutely had to make this a priority for this year.
