deadmau5 first headliner for sensation sydney

EDM superstar Deadmaus was this morning announced as the first headliner of the Sensation festival in Sydney on November 25.

It’s been three years since he last visited these shores.

With ravers from all over Australia planning to make up the 40,000 to 50,000 crowd at the Showground, it’ll be the first chance for Australia to see the Canadian DJ and producer’s ambitious and larger new cube 2.1 stage set up.

Described as ‘the world’s most transformative DJ stand’, he’s been touring it since March through North America, and now in Europe.

With 16 automation boxes capable of independent graphics and movement, the production has been dazzling fans with the way it evolves with the energy and mood of the crowd.

It’s expected to translate particularly well at Sensation Sydney, which will be an outdoor event.

Presented by Dance Nation Australia, the theme of Sensation’s debut Australian event is “Celebrate Life” –  inspired by the driving philosophy of the organiser, Dutch entertainment company ID&T, which operates many of the largest electronic festivals in the world including Tomorrowland.
