PRESS RELEASE:

Territory group East Journey release stunning new film clip Song of Arnhem Land off The Genesis Project EP.

The clip for the Salas/Moore mix of their collaboration with Yothu Yindi comes as the groups received two nominations from the EP in the NT Song of the Year’s Rock category this week. These modern ancient young men from North East Arnhem Land made the Finalists with Song of Arnhem Land and EMU.

Filmed in Yirrkala, the clip accompanies the song to tell the story about North East Arnhem land, and why the landscape is linked to the band members through culture and song.  Tourism NT contributed $15,000.00 towards the making of the clip and will use it in a 30 second advertising campaign to promote the beauty of North East Arnhem Land.

East Journey and Yothu Yindi are headlining the National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) on July 25 with a premiere live performance of The Genesis Project.

Also taking to the NIMA stage is the inimitable Frank Yamma, NT local favourites from Tiwi Island B2M and The Painted Ladies.
