The Nice Talent Agency has signed rising Aussie singer-songwriter E^ST to their expanding roster.

Real name Mel Bester, E^ST relocated from South Africa to Australia when she was just a child, and moved around a lot, settling on the Central Coast of NSW.

She first came to prominence when she sent an acoustic demo to a Swedish publishing and production company The Kennel, and they were impressed with what they saw.

“The Swedes are pop machines, it’s impressive,” E^ST said.

“My style isn’t straight-up pop, but I learned how to structure a pop song, and to think about what I want to say and how to say it in a way that hasn’t been said before. They put a lot of faith in me. I grew in confidence.”

The Kennel then brought E^ST over from the NSW Central Coast to Stockholm for two separate, month-long stints in their studio.

Her latest single is titled ’Life Goes On’ and is the fourth release from the singer-songwriter.

“I don’t talk about my emotions in person, but with my music I want to be as honest as I can so there’s something people can connect to”, she said.

“It’s what drives me. Music makes every moment more magical”.
