The world’s largest ticketing and event technology platform, Eventbrite, has announced a partnership with concert discovery app Bandsintown that will deliver an increase in connectivity between concert creators and music fans.

The first phase of the partnership, which launched today, focuses on product innovation and enhanced technology. Eventbrite now has access to Bandsintown’s 30 million registered music fans through the integration of Bandsintown Promoter, the app’s ad solution tool.

This will allow Eventbrite users to promote shows targeted to Bandsintown highly-engaged fans based on artist preference.

Launching in early 2017, the second phase of the partnership will center around a consumer based offering. It will enable users to carry out their entire Eventbrite concert purchases without having to leave the Bandsintown app or website.

“Concerts and live music experiences have always been an incredibly important part of Eventbrite, and this new partnership with Bandsintown provides our organisers with a super-targeted, direct connection to the most passionate of music fans,” said Phil Silverstone, General Manager, Eventbrite Australia.

“We’re proud to continue innovating with a best-in-class music partner to create exciting new products that ultimately get more concert go’ers to the shows they love,” he added.

Fabrice Sergent, Managing Partner of Bandsintown, pointed to the benefits that the integration of Bandsintown Promoter will provide for Eventbrite’s service.

“Over 50% of our concert-goers frequently go to see artists they had never heard of before they discovered them on Bandsintown,” he said. “This makes Bandsintown a fertile discovery ground for Eventbrite’s event creators.”
