Five Australian acts will plug into the Warped tour as it swings through 41 North American shows between June 19 to August 8.

They are The Amity Affliction, I Killed The Prom Queen, Hands Like Houses, Trophy Eyes and M4Sonic.

The Amity Affliction, which was recently voted Most Popular Group at the Queensland Music Awards, returned this month from tours through the USA, UK and Europe.

I Killed The Prom Queen, who’d already posted their involvement in the tour back in January, are in the studio making an album to release through Epitaph in time for the tour.

Canberra’s Hands Like Houses are currently in the studio working on their third album for a late summer release. Their new single ‎#IAm, a challenge to fellow musicians to speak out on behalf of their audiences, hit #2 on the iTunes rock charts in Australia and the United States, while the video had 168,000 views in a week.

Trophy Eyes (pictured) last week played a show in hometown Newcastle which they said would be “our last show in Australia for a very long time.” Signed to Hopeless Records through which they released their Mend, Move On debut album, they’re working on the international market, and toured the UK in February.

EDM producer M4SONIC hit the spotlight with The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?) which has had more than 485 million YouTube views.

Vans Warped started out as a rock/hardcore event but has since expanded the format. This year's lineup includes such US, Canadian and UK acts as Riff Raff, Black Veil Brides, MC Lars, H20, We Came As Romans, While She Sleeps, Youth In Revolt and Senses Fail – as well as Crossfaith from Japan and Kaya from Malaysia – along with the addition of comedians and YouTube stars.

The 21st version kicks off in Pomona, California, and takes in Houston, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, Cincinnati, Toronto, Salt Lake City, Portland and San Diego. It is offering a deal where a punter aged under 18 can bring along a parent (has to be over 28) for free. Plus the punter can abandon them at the Parent’s Tent where they can read magazines and watch movies in air conditioned comfort.
