Floodlights Ink Global Publishing Deal with Concord Music Publishing ANZ
Australian act Floodlights have announced a global publishing deal with Concord Music Publishing ANZ as they release new single, 'Tricky'.

Concord Music Publishing ANZ has today (Wednesday, October 15th) announced the signing of acclaimed Australian rock outfit Floodlights to a global publishing deal.
The Melbourne-based band — comprising Louis Parsons, Ashlee Kehoe, Archie Shannon, Joe Draffen, and Sarah Hellyer — have carved a distinct place in the country’s alternative rock landscape with their emotionally charged songwriting and evocative sense of place.
Matt Tanner, VP, A&R at Concord Music Publishing ANZ, was excited to add the band to their roster. “Floodlights are one of the most compelling bands coming out of Australia right now," he said. "Their songwriting is thoughtful, and deeply evocative—it captures something real about place, identity, and emotion. We’re excited and proud to welcome them to the roster.”
The band added: “We’re so excited to be working with Concord. We’re massive fans of what they do and love lots of bands on their roster. It feels like a new door of opportunity opening for us!”
Floodlights first made waves with their 2019 EP Backyard and 2020 debut album From a View, before 2023’s Painting of My Time solidified their reputation as one of Australia’s most vital new acts. Praised by Double J for their “big-hearted, emotionally honest rock” and hailed by Rolling Stone AU/NZ as “one of the most formidable live acts in Australia this decade so far,” the band has earned critical acclaim at home and abroad.
Their latest single, “Tricky”, marks an evolution in their sound—blending rhythm-driven, synth-laced textures with introspective lyrics and euphoric energy. Recorded DIY-style in their Melbourne studio with guitarist Archie Shannon at the helm, the track reflects the band’s growing creative independence.
Known for their captivating live performances, Floodlights have played sold-out headline shows and appeared at major festivals including SXSW Austin, Pitchfork Paris, End of the Road, Green Man, Haldern Pop, Laneway, Meredith Music Festival, and VIVID LIVE. They’ve also supported The Killers, black midi, Amyl & The Sniffers, and Pavement. Later this month, they’ll return to the UK for a string of shows with Amyl & The Sniffers, including a London release show for "Tricky".
