flume and alison wonderland get turned into simpsons characters

Whatslively are back with more Simpsons animations of some of Australi’s favourite musicians - and this time around, there’s a certain electronic flavour to the project.

Hot off the heels of their collaboration last year with German designer Zhi-Yun Zhang - when Chet Faker and Tkay Maidza were re-worked into Simpsons characters - the initiative from the live music discovery app is back, this time featuring local superstar DJ’s Flume and Alison Wonderland.

While there are no hard and fast rules around how artists are selected, Whatslively CEO Trishanth Chandrahasan believes the project has been so well received due to Zhi’s unique designs.

"Along with our input and direction he puts incredible thought and imagination into the animations," he told TMN.

"They’re not just funny animated images of these artists, they’re celebrations of the artists and their amazing music."

Just like last time, Whatslively are giving away free t-shirts with these images on them via the installation of their gig tracker app

"Whoever wins will stand out this summer," Chandrahasan added.
