Adelaide rapper Tkay Maidza, electronic act Peking Duk and local Melbourne native Alex Lahey (pictured) lead the full program announcement for Face the Music 2016.

The annual two-day summit in Melbourne will showcase the finest and most innovative talents and personalities from the local and international stage, including original panels in which a range of speakers will talk about various music industry related topics.

The announcement also includes artists GL, Dorsal Fins and Jess Ribeiro, besides others, who are set to perform at the event, adding another dimension to the already diverse program at hand.

Among the selection of panels is Empowering Communities Through Leadership. Moderated by Indigenous rapper Briggs, the panel will address ways in which people can facilitate sustainability by empowering their community.

Another panel titled The Idiosyncrasies of Artists Management will feature Tkay Maidza, Japanese Wallpaper and Elizabeth Mitchell (Totally Mild) speaking alongside their respective managers.

Songwriters Live in the Round will see Australian songwriters Alex Lahey, Ainslee Wills, and Hiatus Kaiyote’s Nai Palm speak about their creative influences, musical and lyrical inspiration, favourite songs and revered idols to The Age’s Chris Johnston.

Other panels include Environmental Consciousness in Music, Music on the Mind and Peking Duk: ‘Australiana’ - A Tour Goes Under The Microscope, featuring members of the electronic act and their support team. The panel will be moderated by Live Music Office’s Damian Cunningham.
