Aussie rural festival tour Groovin’ The Moo has announced its 2018 lineup, with some strong internationals to feature alongside a huge bill of locals.

The bill will feature veteran Aussie rockers Grinspoon, who last year reformed for a sold-out national tour after going on hiatus in 2013, and Paul Kelly who’ll be sure to provide some nostalgic vibes.

Leading the names of overseas acts are Portland-hailing Portugal. The Man, who are fresh off taking out the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

They’ll be joined by Brighton rockers Royal Blood, German DJ and producer Claptone, British rapper Lady Leshurr and fellow UK producer Duke Dumont.

A strong local contingent will also perform across Groovin’s six dates, with the likes of Alex Lahey, The Amity Affliction, Baker Boy, Ball Park Music, Dean Lewis, Flight Facilities, Ocean Alley, Tkay Maidza, Vera Blue and Winston Surfshirt.

“We’re thrilled with how the line up has come together for GTM 2018,” said Steve Halpin of GTM promoter Cattleyard.

“It’s a diverse and exciting range of artists with a treat for every musical tastebud.

“We can’t wait to head around the country with these artists, and we’ve got more to come with our Fresh Produce and Community programs showcasing what’s on offer from each of our beloved regions.”

Groovin have locked in some great ‘marshalls’ for between-set entertainment, including Killing Heidi’s Ella Hooper, Coda Conduct, Flexmami and Fuzzy.

Groovin’ The Moo kicks off on Friday April 27 at Wayville, SA, before it moves through Maitland, Canberra, Bendigo, Townsville and Bunbury.
