Following the announcement of Solange as the first artist for Vivid Sydney last month, the full lineup for the festival of music and light has now been revealed.

Solange is playing four shows at the Sydney Opera House for VIVD Live, with rap legend Ice Cube, Daniel Johns & Luke Steele’s new project DREAMS, California cult duo Mazzy Star and US musician Cat Power also to perform at the iconnic venue.

The Opera House will also host Neil Finn performing his new album Out Of Silence with a full orchestra, as well as gigs by Middle Kids, H.E.R., Iron & Wine, No Mono and Total Control.

“Vivid Sydney has delighted and inspired people from around Australia and the world, and the Sydney Opera House provides an electric part of Vivid Music with its Vivid LIVE program,” said Destination NSW CEO and executive producer of Vivid Sydney Sandra Chipchase.

“This year’s stellar line-up is set to impress both locals and visitors alike with its luminous performances, so I’d encourage visitors to plan their trips and book tickets early to avoid disappointment.”

Grammy award winning musician St. Vincent has also been announced for a one-off show at Carriageworks.

Carriageworks will host its very own festival, Curve Ball, for the third year running. The first lineup has been announced, with Alison Wonderland, Vera Blue and Crooked Colours headlining, while a teamup by Polographia and Winston Surfshirt called Poloshirt will also perform.

The Curve Ball lineup announcement was not without controversy, but not for lack of non-male artists on the lineup, with 75% of the first announcement female.

Shortly after the lineup was announced Alison Wonderland tweeted “I can’t actually make this show and my booker in Austrlalia booked it anyway.”

She then went on to tweet “@FalconaMusic you are fucked.”

Wonderland remains on the lineup both on the Vivid and Curveball websites, and both tweets have been deleted.

Falcona has confirmed to TMN that Wonderland is definitely playing the festival.

"She’s currently in South America with limited reception and some wires had been crossed on logistics, but she will make it back into Aus in time for Curve Ball," said the touring company.

Vivid Sydney takes place from May 25 to June 16.
