iHeartRadio Australia has hit the 1 million user mark, the company has announced.

iHeartRadio continues to experience impressive growth in usage and engagement across the platform, and in just three months there has been a 350% increase in streaming hours from iHeartRadio’s integration into Google Home.

This year, iHeartRadio Australia marked the launch of its new app in February, integration of targeted advertising technology and delivery system AdsWizz in August, and the launch of the largest podcasting library in Australia.

More recently the platform announced partnership with Mood Media across retail stores in Australia.

“This is yet another great milestone for iHeartRadio Australia in 2017," said Geraint Davies, COO of iHeartRadio Australia.

“It has been a huge year of announcements as part of our strategy to become Australia’s audio streaming service of choice.

“We continue to diversify our music and entertainment experience across the platform for our listeners and strengthen the offering for our commercial partners.

“We continue to experience impressive growth in usage and engagement across the platform and in just three months have seen a 350% increase in streaming hours from iHeartRadio’s integration into Google Home.

“We expect this growth to continue as further integration of iHeartRadio and take up of these technologies continues in 2018.”

The U.S. parent company has also bought into Australian-founded voice-recording app VoiceByte.

The application records user voices through mobile devices and gest them broadcast on radio, TV and podcast programs in under 20 seconds, “making them literally part of the show,” says co-founder Michael Fenech.

It means no longer having to call on an open line, wait on hold or send an email.
