Illy to headline free Foxtel Footy Festival

Australian platinum selling hip hop artist Illy, will headline the 2016 AFL Grand Final Eve line up with a free concert at the Foxtel Footy Festival site at Yarra Park from 5.00pm on Friday 30 September.

With a career spanning seven years to date, 2016 has brought with it continued success for Illy, with his own national headline Swear Jar tour, performances at both Groovin The Moo & Splendour In The Grass festivals and a fifth studio album in the works.

Illy’s performance at this year’s AFL Grand Final Eve Concert will see him performing before his hometown crowd, with the Melbourne-born singer saying, “I’m a Melbourne boy and a Dee’s supporter, so I’d love to see the Bulldogs win the flag this year.”

Fans can expect to hear Illy’s new chart-topping single, Papercuts featuring Vera Blue, in addition to tracks from his upcoming album.

The Foxtel Footy Festival will burst into life for fans to attend from Wednesday 28 September. In addition to the Grand Final Eve Concert, the Festival will include five precincts for all to enjoy including the Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site, Lifestyle Taste of Football, Kids Zone and Presto Movies at the MCG.
