Harlem-based artist FatherDude - who’s caught the attention of Diplo and Skrillex, worked with dance music producers Troyboi and San Holo, and collaborated with Australian artists GRMM and Slumberjack - released his debut EP whilst visiting Australia.
When FatherDude’s lifetime of work, The Balance, dropped on June 10, he was in Sydney in a studio with Iranian-Australian producer Naderi, who worked with Flume in his formative years.
Signed to Ministry of Sound Australia’s etcetc label for the world, FatherDude’s promo trip was jam-packed. He played at Sosueme at Bondi’s Beach Road Hotel and at World Bar, performing tracks from his EP along with previous singles including Electrify, his collaboration with GRMM, and Body Cry, his collaboration with Slumberjack. He also hit the studio for sessions with Australian producers Motez, Set Mo, Deutsche Duke and Enschway.
FatherDude has shared a photo diary of his first Australian visit with TMN.
