One the better stories floating around the net of recent times is that of the digital currency Coinye: bitcoins with Kanye West’s likeness on them. West evidently didn’t see the humorous side to this particular coin, as he has filed a lawsuit against a number of parties, and seems to have succeeded in stamping out the hilarious currency.

West’s lawsuit mainly targets Amazon, who host the currency’s website - as well as numerous other vendors, site owners, digital currency exchanges, and hosts. He claims consumers are likely to believe the currency is an official product.

The (lengthy) lawsuit reads in part: "Amazon.com and Jane Doe’s Defendants have deliberately disregarded Plaintiffs’ counsel’s notification of the Infringing websites and have otherwise consciously avoided learning about the full extent of the infringing activity."
