PRESS RELEASE:

Kobalt Music Publishing, Inc., announced they have signed Los Angeles-based Electronic Dance Artist, ZHU. The worldwide deal covers past, current and future works.

Sas Metcalfe, President of Global Creative at Kobalt, stated, "We are thrilled to have ZHU join Kobalt. He is a truly talented artist/producer/songwriter who continues to push the boundaries of electronic music.”

ZHU is currently signed to Columbia Records/Sony. Starting mid-September, his Genesis Series EP will be released as one song per week. The first single, “Automatic” features U.K. duo, AlunaGeorge. The EP will include collaborations from an elite roster of musicians from various genres including, Skrillex, Trombone Shorty, AlunaGeorge, A-Trak, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Gallant and more.

Best known for his unique motto, “Music is Faceless,” ZHU is keen on letting his music narrate his story. With an immense focus on the art of music and creative sound, ZHU is a producer and singer widely respected for his integrity. Recognition for his talent continues to grow as he received a GRAMMY® nomination for his single, “Faded,” within the category, Best Dance Recording at the 57th GRAMMY® Awards.
