Sydney pop band Little Sea have signed a global deal with Universal Music Publishing.

Having built momentum through social media and busking, the group’s independently released EP, Wake The Sun, entered the Australian iTunes chart at #1.

A sold out East Coast tour and further trending on social media put Little Sea on Universal’s radar, where they now join 360, Jessica Mauboy, Jackie Onassis and Spit Syndicate on the UMPG roster.

Director of A&R John Heaths said of the group, "It’s rare for a brand new band to build a level of momentum like this in such a short space of time. Little Sea are young, focused and energetic and most importantly they write great songs. We are really pleased to have them on board and we are looking forward to helping them build their careers at home and abroad"

Little Sea have plans to collaborate with UMPG’s international songwriting network whilst touring Australia, New Zealand and the US.
