The release of a consultation paper by the Commonwealth Treasury on ticket reselling has been welcomed by Live Performance Australia, the peak body for the live entertainment and performing arts industry.

LPA will make a submission as part of the consultation.

process and is urging industry participants and consumers to also use the consultation process to ensure their concerns and experiences are heard.

“LPA will continue to support industry-wide initiatives to help educate consumers about the risks of the ticket resale market, such as through our Safe Tix Guide which contains a number of practical tips on avoiding ticketing scams.

The consultation paper is available on the Treasury website
