Lost Highway Records & Americana Music Association Presents The Road To AmericanaFest 2016

Triple ARIA award winning singer-songwriter Shane Nicholson joins forces with highly regarded songsmith Lachlan Bryan and special guests The Weeping Willows, Gretta Ziller & Andrew Swift in a showcase of Australia’s finest Americana artists.

The Road To AmericanaFest is a grass roots initiative of the Americana Music Association in support of artists appearing at the 17th Annual Americana Music Festival & Conference, which runs from September 20-25 in Nashville. 

Nicholson will appear at this year’s Americana Music Festival along with Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and many more.

Shane Nicholson is a leading Australian proponent of Americana Music, a creatively fertile genre generally considered to bridge country and rock. He has won three ARIA Awards, most recently for his solo album Hell Breaks Loose and previously for his duet albums with Kasey Chambers; Rattlin’ Bones  & Wreck & Ruin.

Lachlan Bryan is a compelling presence on the local alt. country-Americana landscape. His list of awards include Best Alternative Country Album at the 2014 Country Music Awards, The Age Music Award for Best Country Album and Best Group at The Australian Independent Country Music Awards with his band the Wildes. 

Special guests are Melbourne based Americana artists The Weeping Willows (who are also appearing at this year’s AmericanaFest), Gretta Ziller & Andrew Swift.
