Maz Compton has documented her life and career in a new book titled ‘UnEdited’, released today on Amazon.

The former MTV Australia and 2Day FM breakfast host recalls numerous events, including her sacking from 2Day FM, bizarre interviews with entertainment stars, as well as a particularly awkward encounter with former The Voice Australia judge Benji Madden.

The then-radio show host interviewed the Madden twins at a radio studio and got herself in a pickle that not even “the great illusionist Chris Angel could not get out of.”

“If I turned my head to the right, it would appear that I was trying to nuzzle into Benji, like a needy cat nuzzles into the corner of a couch,” Compton recalls in the book. “If I turned my head to the left I would head butt him.

“With neither option appealing to my lightening quick reflexes, I kept my noggin dead straight, pointing towards the bland corridor wall and then it happened.

"I accidentally kissed him on the neck. Smack bang, on that neck tattoo. Yep I fully pushed my pursed lips into the side of that man’s neck, like some total creep, all the while holding his forearm firmly, which in itself, was weird.

“He went in for the hug. I accidentally kissed him on the neck. Well that was awkward."
