Gaga Music has announced that it will represent the Beggars Music publishing catalogue for Australia and New Zealand.

Beggars Music boasts a strong catalogue of artists including Glass Animals, SBTRKT, Cat Power, Yo La Tengo, Warpaint and Kurt Vile. It was created in January 2010 to strengthen and expand the Beggars Group’s publishing interests. Beggars Music administers its own rights, while offering a full publishing service.

Founded in 2007, Gaga Music is a Melbourne-based independent music publisher, licensing agency and rights management business. In 2013, Gaga partnered with Inertia Music.

Beggars Group’s Director Andy Heath said, "Gaga’s artist-focused business model closely mirrors our own. Working with Gaga and Inertia offers us a complete service for Australia and New Zealand. We’re excited about working with them."

Founder of Gaga Music Grant Gillies added, "We’re thrilled to be representing the Beggars catalogue. They’re a quality bunch of people, with a terrific catalogue. We’re proud to be representing Beggars and will be pursuing every available opportunity for them here."
