michael bubles christmas album cracks a million sales in australia

Michael Bublé’s Christmas album, the most popular holiday album in Australian homes for the past six years, has reached 1 million sales in Australia and is certified by ARIA as double diamond. The album peaked at #1 on the ARIA album chart every Christmas for four years following its 2011 release and has been in the ARIA Top 5 in December every year since release. Christmas has been #1 on the Australian iTunes album chart every Christmas Day.

In the lead up to Christmas, Michael Bublé will appear in Live At The BBC, a television special airing on TEN at 9.00pm on Sunday 18 December. The entertainment spectacular will feature Bublé performing classic tracks including Cry Me A River and Feeling Good, along with songs from his brand new album including the title track Nobody But Me, live at MediaCity in the UK.

Before the performance Michael said, “I loved Adele at the BBC and I’m so excited and honoured to have been invited by the BBC to do my own show for them.”

Nobody But Me is the multi-Grammy, multi-platinum award winning singer’s ninth studio album. Recorded in Los Angeles and Vancouver, Nobody But Me features three new Bublé-penned originals along with classic covers.

“I don’t know that I’ve ever had this much fun working on an album,” said Bublé.  “It was especially thrilling to collaborate with my band who understand that I want to sound better than I’ve ever sounded. I’m also very proud of the new songs.  Having the opportunity to co-produce was a joy for me personally.”

Michael Bublé recently showcased his talents on the big screen with a onetime cinema event screening of Michael Bublé Tour Stop I48. The film included dynamic performances and behind-the-scenes footage from Michael’s To Be Loved Tour, which covered 173 shows in 39 countries and was seen by over two million fans.
