Middle Kids sign to Mushroom Music Publishing

Mushroom Music Publishing have today announced the signing of Sydney trio Middle Kids to a new deal for Australia and New Zealand.

The signing is particularly timely given the band's debut album Lost Friends is out on May 4, with the record expected to perform strongly off the back of the already-released lead single 'Mistake'.

“Our first Middle Kids show in 2016 created a long-lasting impression," said Mushroom Music Publishing head of A&R Linda Bosidis.

"Their talent and chemistry illuminated the room, but we were also struck by how ready they were as a band and performers.

"Hannah Joy’s song writing is hypnotic, timeless and infectious. We fell in love with Middle Kids’ music.  It’s powerful stuff. We are so excited to be working with them and can’t wait for everyone to hear their knockout debut LP” 

Middle Kids debut single 'Edge Of Town' has garnered over 13 million Spotify streams, and its sucess resulted in the band being named in Rolling Stone’s ‘10 New Artists You Need to Know’.

Middle Kids are set to head on a national tour of Austalia in May this year, before heading to the UK and North America.
