missy higgins announces national headline tour

Missy Higgins’ return to the spotlight is officially complete, with the singer-songwriter announcing a headline tour of Australia for May.

Higgins will head into the tour well-and-truly warmed up, with support duties for Ed Sheeran to take place between now and then.

This forthcoming tour will launch her much anticipated fifth studio album Solastalgia and she’ll be supported by Gordi for all shows.

The nine-time ARIA winner will take in seven cities as she tours through Queensland, NSW, the ACT, South Australia and Victoria, wrapping up the tour with a special homecoming show in Melbourne at the Palais Theatre.

Solastalgia is due to be released on May 4 - and features the already-released return to form ’Futon Couch’, as Higgins explores a fresh new sound.

“I’m so excited to finally road-test my new tunes in all these beautiful venues across the country," she said.

"This album is really different from anything I’ve done before, I think people will be really surprised, but I think the songs will fit nicely alongside my old material, too.
