The Australian Music Vault, which opened in December at Arts Centre Melbourne, has got off to a strong start.
In the first two months, it has had 100,000 visitors checking out its interactive memorabilia collection.
The Music Vault is also launching the first of its public talks series.
Amy Bennett, its creative learning producer says, “The Australian Music Vault Talks aim to generate conversation around important issues in the Australian music industry.
“Through dialogue, questioning, sharing opinions and talking about music, we can delve deep into a fascinating industry and discover the stories within.”
The first talk addresses a topic that is the most important facing musicians, executives and fans – gender imbalance in the business.
It will focus on the plans and challenges in developing, supporting and promoting initiatives to tackle this issue.
