The Australian Association of Managers is advertising for a new Executive Director, since the recent departure of Meg Williams.Maz McGann, current Manager of Community and Culture at the Barossa Council in South Australia, is new full-time CEO of Creating Australia - the new national body for community arts and cultural development.

UMPG has promoted creative manager/senior director of A&R Darryl Watts to Creative Director. While at UMPG, Watts signed Neil Finn and Bastille and the catalogues of Johnny Marr and Joy Division.

Furst Media’s Melbourne weekly Beat has announced Cara Williams as its new Music Editor, replacing Ali Hawken. Williams previously worked in marketing, publicity and events. She also edited Fairfax Community Network’s music and arts supplement LOOP for five years, and managed Synk magazine for three.

Dan Condon, who became Music Editor of TheMusic.com.au six years ago after its owner Street Press Australia bought out Brisbane weekly Time Off, has left for a new career in digital marketing.

Christian Hull has left SAFM Adelaide to join the national drive show Dan & Maz as their Digital Producer in Melbourne.

Melissa Fein is promoted to Head of Network Ten’s commercial creative division Generate. She replaces Kylie Rogers who left the company after a 17 years tenure. Fein previously headed Generate’s creative solutions arm, covering strategy, sponsorship and integration.

More inductees for SA Hall of Fame
After the first round of inductees of the AMC SSA Music Hall of Fame in South Australia last month, the second round will be held on May 18. Hall of Fame co-founder David Day told TMN it will include John and Rick Brewster of The Angels; John Schumann; guitarist Rockin Rob Riley; Barry MacAskill of R&B band Levi Smith Clefs and Ray O’Conner, singer and sax player of Penny Rockets.

Gum Ball to take hiatus
Hunter Valley’s Gum Ball is going on hiatus next year after 10 years in business. It drew its largest ever crowd with the Hoodoo Gurus headlining a 30-act bill.
