National Live Music Awards: Here are the nominees for the People’s Choice categories

Ahead of the National Live Music Awards launch event tonight, where the full list of nominations will be announced, TMN can exclusively reveal the bands and solo acts up for the People’s Choice categories this year.

Acts from all levels of the local industry are represented, from international-tier acts like Gang Of Youths and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, to festival favourites Client Liaison and AMP winners A.B. Original. Emerging acts are also represented, with electrifying punk three-piece Cable Ties impressing the 100-member judging panel enough to score a spot. 

Women are represented in four of the Live Act categories, including two all-women acts – Camp Cope and All Our Exes Live In Texas. And in a NLMAs first, all the nominees for the People’s Choice Live Voice Of The Year are women.

The People’s Choice nominee lists are made up of the acts that accumulated the most nominations from the judges across all categories during the nomination process. (This includes the judged categories of the same name at both National and State/Territory level, which count towards the People’s Choice count.) 

Both the Live Act of the Year (presented by TMN) and the Live Voice Of The Year awards are publicly voted, with voting opening on October 23rd.
