New national outdoor concert series SummerSalt bringing beats to the beach

Australia is getting a new national outdoor tour this summer, staged in picturesque locations by the water.

SummerSalt will see John Butler Trio and Missy Higgins team up to play the first show, on Saturday November 18 at Glenelg Beach in Adelaide.

The Cat Empire and Xavier Rudd then take over for the rest of the run – Hope Estate, Hunter Valley (Saturday November 25), Bondi Beach, Sydney (Sunday November 26), 3 Oceans Winery, Margaret River (Saturday December 2) and Hotel Rottnest, Perth (Sunday December 3).

It seems Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania and Northern Territory have missed out, for now.

Promoters Zaccaria Concerts & Touring said local and international names will play the series, which will have “a very heavy emphasis on local community and sustainability”.
